Tuition and Scholarship Information

Tuition & Fees

The Thomas More Dual-Credit tuition rate for the academic year is $95 per credit hour ($285 for a standard 3-credit class)

Students will receive an electronic bill in your TMU email. Tuition bills are usually available approximately one month prior to the start of class.  

Additional costs:

  • Students are also responsible for the cost of any textbooks or course materials.
    • If you are taking an online or campus course, your course materials may be "inclusive access" meaning they are included in your course and a fee will be added to your tuition for that text. For more information about inclusive texts, visit our Textbooks page in the orientation. 
  • Students taking classes on Thomas More's campus who wish to park on campus will need to pick up a parking pass. Parking passes are free to students.
    • You can visit the Campus Safety Office/Front Desk in the Saints Center to get your permit.

How to view your bill

  • To view your tuition bill, go to myTMU: https://mytmu.thomasmore.edu/ICS/ Links to an external site.
  • At the top of the page, make sure that you are logged in with your username/password.
  • Next, click on "Student Services" on the top toolbase
  • Then, select on "Student Bill" from the menu on the page - there you should be able to find your tuition balance.

 

How to Pay Your Tuition

Credit Card/Debit Card/E-check payments

    • Please note that both MyTMU Payments & Online payments require a person to process the transaction so would not show on the account until the next business day.
  • Via phone at (859) 344-3330 or in person is also accepted. 
    • Credit Card & Debit card only – E-check can only be done online.

Cash payments

  • Can only be made in person in the Office of Student Accounts/Bursar.  Please do not use the Dropbox, bring cash inside to receive a receipt.

 

Scholarships

Students will apply for these scholarships with their high school counselor. If you are a homeschool student, you will apply directly through the KHEAA websites linked below. 

Kentucky Dual-Credit Scholarship

  • There is a scholarship available for public, private, and home-schooled students through KHEAA. Students will be eligible to receive a scholarship covering the tuition cost for up to two successfully completed dual-credit courses each year during their junior and senior years. Award determination will be made by KHEAA and students will be notified by KHEAA. For more information, please contact KHEAA Links to an external site. or talk to your school counselor.
  • It is the advice of Thomas More's Dual-Credit program that any student who applies for the KY Dual-Credit Scholarship should anticipate and pay their tuition by the start of the semester. Any student who is then awarded the dual-credit scholarship will be refunded once the funds are provided to TMU from KHEAA.

KY Work Ready Scholarship

  • Students have the opportunity to utilize KHEAA's Work Ready Scholarship towards some of their dual-credit coursework; however, approved dual-credit courses for the Work Ready Scholarship are limited to Career and Technical Education (CTE) coursework that is in a career pathway approved by the Kentucky Department of Education as leading to an industry‐recognized credential.
  • Current eligible courses include: ACC101/102, BUS 105/115/155/311, CIS 111/114/115/231/261, CRJ 101, EDU 101/201, ELS 115,  LAW 105, MIS 113, and NUR 104/103
  • Eligible students can only use the Work Ready Scholarship towards two eligible courses each school year.

Please note

If after high school graduation, you still have remaining tuition balance on your account, it may create holds that prohibit you from sending your transcripts to other institutions OR register for your first year at Thomas More. It is important you monitor and pay your tuition balance as advised above.
